Saw this at Doll Me Up blog and found out it was posted by the Sartorialist. I admire how Lizzie Miller willingly showed off an unflattering part of herself – notice the flabby post-baby belly – to inspire the millions of ordinary women to embrace themselves and appreciate their bodies more.

Being an overweight mommy to two kids as well, I can so relate with the crinkly ab skin and the lose skin everywhere that only surgery I think can repair.
But those flabby skin housed my kids – and I shall embrace them. For everything else, there is Spanx. More on that on the coming blog posts
Can you guess which among the new Fall TV show is a hit?
Glee, the American musical comedy drama series, seems to be the runaway winner. Audiences checked in at 9.619 million viewers on its broadcast episode and viewers have since been hooked! (Can you tell I am too?) The brainchild of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan focuses on a high school show choir, also known as a glee club, set within the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio. And while there are criticisms that the story line is far from original, most have been praising the talent and musical score of the show, with its songs selling like hotcakes over at iTunes the night after of every episode!
It’s actually a good thing that I finally caved in and subscribed to DIRECTV HD – I get to DVR everything if there would a conflict with the husband’s sports (NFL mostly) shows. We mainly got it because of it and I was sold when one of the Direct TV Packages offered a free HD DVR receiver upgrade when we chose to subscribe for 5 months. It also did not hurt that one of the Directv Channels was HGTV!
I leave you with this:
April: There was a time I was the biggest star around here. And now that I’ve gotten that back, I’m never letting it go.
