When I was a small girl, I fell in love with the fashion of the times of Elise McKenna in the movie Somewhere in Time. There grew my love relationship with the fashion and everything that came during the early 1900s. I grew to appreciate all things vintage. I even swore to myself that I will wear a gown similar to hers when I get married someday.
My love affair with vintage jewelry started with earrings. Somehow I love to wear earrings but cannot tolerate any other jewelry on my skin like necklaces, bracelets and rings. I love understated vintage stuff, jewelry that are classic pieces.
These are Vintage Style 14k Gold Filigrane Earrings that I saw over Vintage Yard. I like how dainty and intricate the design of the earrings are – I am sure that when one wears them, people will be drawn to them like a moth to a flame.
Except for my wedding ring, I have not worn any ring on my finger ever. But the vintage rings I am seeing are tempting me to change my mind! I am very partial to amethyst because it is my birthstone and I can see myself wearing any of these two vintage rings with the way I dress:
What could be better than having my favorite stone together with every woman’s best friend – the diamond? I wish I can afford the price though – these cost between USD800-USD970 a piece. I would not mind buying it as it can be a heirloom for the family.
The 19th Century Styled 14K Gold Ring with 28 Diamonds and Amethyst is a 19th century styled 14K gold ring with 28 rose cut diamonds, and one 0.15 Ct Amethyst mounted on a hand made silver plate.
Wouldn’t that be a great heirloom piece to pass on to your daughter or daughter-in-law?
