Trattoria Acqua is an award winning Italian restaurant in La Jolla. It is known as La Jolla’s fine Italian cuisine with a Mediterranean setting. Their menu, boasting of authentic Italian cooking, is enjoyed with a great view overlooking beautiful La Jolla Cove.

La Jolla, a spanish term for “the jewel”, is located 15 minutes from downtown San Diego, America’s finest city. La Jolla is a beautiful combination of a southern European resort setting with a mixture of Southern California fun.

As a pasta lover, I am sure I will never run out of choices from their extensive pasta menu selection prepared daily with grilled fresh fish, free range fowl and Harris Ranch meats, seafood and salads! Their wine selection is very varied too.

I would love to try their Mezza Rigate alla Contadina. It is Rigatoni pasta laced with spicy eggplant, pancetta (Italian bacon), roasted tomatoes, cream and asiago cheese ~ and you know how much I loooove eggplant!
