Yay or Nay?

Ever since the Alexa Mulberry bag came out and became the “it” bag for the moment, I have been seeing satchel bags everywhere. Not that it is a bad thing, since I have taken a certain fondness for it as well. I would have gotten it if only I had extra money to spare, but I am all cashed-out as it is with insurance premiums to pay, social security disability insurance and health insurance being two of the so many things I need to voluntarily pay for each month.

There are new styles of Longchamp Totes and I am pretty sure that it will be a hit! Longchamp bags make great travel and everyday bags as it is so low-maintenance. I even put them on the floor (Yes, I’m bad) since I can always wipe out dirt with a baby wipe afterwards. Not even getting the next best thing to mobile phones (Spanish: Téléphones cellulaires) would deter a woman to get another bag, even if if she already has almost all colors of the Le Pliage.

Since I would not be able to get an Alexa Mulberry in the next five years even if I had gold coins to sell, I would gladly settle for the Alexa Mulberry-inspired bag called The Sienna! It is valued for only USD62 and sells at the MimiBoutique.com.

I don’t know how I ended up over at the BagSnob’s blog when I was just looking for slipcovers for our couch. You can call it a Freudian slip? But I really love this one. Even if it’s a MAN bag

I have successfully (I think) gotten rid of my bagaholic tendencies last month. I am now using a messenger bag from Forever21 and have stored what is left of my more expensive bags in their bag covers. I am into messenger bags lately, I don’t know why. So that’s why I fell in like with his bag.

If Carrie of Sex and the City loves shoes and Becky Bloomwood loves the thrill of shopping, I can be classified as a bagaholic in training. If money was not an issue, I would have been collecting all kinds of bags for the longest time, from the trendy ones to designer bags. However, since I have to be careful with money, I rarely buy a bag that I like not unless it is on sale. That is why I always keep an eye out for coupons and huge sales like President Day sales!

I remember when I was in high school, Guess purses were considered a status symbol more than being a bag itself. When you have one and use it in school, you are considered part of the lucky few who can afford to buy one (and you are still on allowance!). So when I started working and had my first paycheck, the first bag I ever bought was a Guess handbag.

There are so many deals and sale alerts for Guess handbags and purses at Buy.com. Even Macy’s are offering some styles on sale and the discount given can be considered a steal already. I am more of a satchel-type bag lady than a purse/clutch bag lady so I will be featuring satchels that are on sale that have caught my attention:

I love that it can be used when you are in jeans or in a dress – so you get more value for your buck. And since it is on sale right now, all the more I want to buy it!

My blogs were down because of a server outage from my host so I am looking for the best web hosting services out there. I cannot afford to have server outages every month. I even failed to share these new vegetable tanned leather bags from Gucci. Which one is your favorite?

Vegetable-tanned leather is treated with tannin and other ingredients found in vegetable sources. Tannin from tree bark was the main ingredient of an ancient technique which led to the term “tanning.” This method of tanning leather results in a supple and brownish colored leather. It produces leather that can be easily carved or stamped as with belts, but it has the disadvantage of being unstable in water. If soaked in water it can discolor and shrink drastically. Luggage and furniture leathers are generally tanned by this method. Many shoes and bags also use this type of leather.

Here are some that have caught my eye. I am partial to pink since it’s my color but the brownish caramel shade is more wearable while the blue is something that matches my casual style.
