Petite:
Please note that Petite is a special size not a body type so you will still need to pay attention to the other tips for your body type and then scale them down for your frame. The ideal coat length is anything above the knee. You want to show as much “leg” as possible to appear long and lean (you can also achieve this by wearing shoes and pants in the same color). Go for bold colored solids and avoid very large prints that will swallow your frame.

Big Breasts:

Wrap coats work best on a large chest. The diagonal line created by the wrap helps to minimize the bust. Avoid jackets with big buttons or prints on the bust line.

Plus-Size:
Always remember plus-size is not a one size fits all category (i.e. you can be plus size and petite, plus size and have a boyish frame, etc). Follow the tips for the other body types, but since you’re plus-size, be sure to go for coats that hug your frame as opposed to trying to hide your body in an oversized coat. Be bold with color and make sure any details are to scale (i.e. small prints on a plus-size frame will make the body seem larger).

Long Torso:
If your torso is noticeably longer than your legs, you’ll need a coat with an empire waist to help visually shorten your torso and lengthen your gams. Wearing bottoms and shoes that are the same color will further help to elongate your legs.

Short Torso:
If your torso is noticeably shorter than your legs, grab a coat that has detailing that sits lower on the waist to help balance out your frame.

Boyish Frame:
To visually add curves to a boyish frame, go for a form-fitting coat with extra detailing. Excess material and details like pockets on the hip area will help give the appearance of curves.

Maternity:
A-line and wrap coats are ideal to keep your baby bump warm and chic.

Fashion blogs are saying that patchworks jeans are making a major comeback this fall. Now this isn’t an easy trend. Obviously, with the advent of skinny jeans, jeggings and patchwork jeans, you need to have a pair of great legs to be able to work them beautifully. I would definitely need the best weight loss supplements!

Here are some Patchwork jeans style tips to avoid looking like a drab:

Photobucket

* Steer away from leather or suede jackets and patchwork jeans as a combination
* Steer away from wearing blazers or other layered tops
* Keep it simple, like pairing the jeans with a basic white tee and, at max, an interesting long, stringy necklace.
* If you’re out a certain age, you might want to stay from the trend all together as it may look like you’re “trying” too hard to be trendy.

What is better than receiving spam e-mail about natural male enhancement products?

Seeing this stunning former supermodel still workin’ it at such a great age. I love navy stripes. Somehow the skirt length is very in-between everything (with pleats I might add), but her tiny cinched waist with monochromatic black legging stockings and ankle boots make her very classy. Add a colorful mismatching scarf and she spells ready-for-some-fun.

I really should stop wishing for the Longchamp Eiffel in Black and Gold since I already one in navy but this one is just so elegant I cannot stop thinking about it! It’s like the fast weight loss pills that I secretly wish to have so I can be as thin as I want and wear the clothes I love. And mind you, you don’t have to wear it in a corporate setting alone. As it can be used at any setting.

Why is it that while the world gets bigger, things get smaller?

A laptop computer is now the size of a notebook, shoes become thongs or regress to become gladiator sandals, and jeans become tight and named skinny. Now, they are more than skinny – they have become jeggings!

For those of you who don’t know: Leggings+Jeans= Jeggings. Even Wikipedia seems to have acknowledged their presence. It’s one of this season’s hottest trends, one that has been embraced by celebrity and ordinary clientele alike.

There’s simply one golden rule when donning these slinkies: Always keep your backside covered. We don’t care if you look like Gisele from behind, wearing jeggings with a tucked in shirt is like wearing leggings with a tucked in shirt (now you get the picture). It is simply not a good look. However, you should check out other, non-denim, versions of the trend- including prints, military-inspired, and gray versions.

My picks are the bottom two – if only I had those skinny gams!

Just as houses need to undergo some changes like maybe replacing old furniture with modern furniture, so do women need to revamp their wardrobe to go with trends, season changes and body and age transformations. You don’t need to buy though – the key here is to mix and match and find hidden gems in your current closet.

Military Chic is one of the must-look haves for Fall 2010 and I am thrilled how easy this stylish trend will be to incorporate into my wardrobe.

Look for slim cargo pants, army green and dusty gray colors, military styled jackets and vests, tailored shirts and slouchy slim pants.

If there are fashion color trends, you need to make sure it stays all throughout your body – from head to toe. Here are some nail polish colors to get you started. Medical personnel who handle medical equipment might be exemptions here.

As with fall fashion 2010 colors, neutrals, mettalics and gem tones rule.

1. Purples: Whether it’s Purple Rain or Purple Reign, this provocative shade is leading the pack in fall nail colors.

2. Metallics: Elements of precious metals twinkle and shine throughout theses deep, eye-catching shades that pack an almost vampy, multi-hued luminosity.

3. Neutrals: If basic instinct is more your game, go with the understated power of soft cream shades that channel the crushed leaves of a crisp fall season or the buttery softness of a timeless vintage Chanel bag.

4. Gem Tones: Striking color rules with these rich, jewel-tone shades that perfectly transition your digits from a playful summer to a rich, technicolor fall.

We are halfway through August and before you know it September is here – can you feel the subtle lowering of temperatures already? Before you know it, it’s fall. Here are six colors that have been seen in the fashion runways in preparation for the upcoming season. The barcode scanner at stores will surely take a beating from fashionistas stocking up on new clothes.

1. Camel – the new tan.

2. Rich Purple – Gem tones reigned supreme for fall/winter 2010, but the deep purple and plum colors that lit up the fall runways.

3. Modern Metallic – In little skirts, tailored blazers, and floor-length dresses, silver, gold, and soft copper all returned the runways for fall in a big way, thanks to Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, and Moschino.

4. Mixed Olives—Building on the military trend that began a few seasons ago, all shades of olive greens, browns, and fatigues had a surprise impact for the fall season.

5. Pale Blue—The dark horse of fall 2010’s color trends, pale blue really caught our attention not only because it seemed unexpected for the cold season, but because it had an icy-cool modernity that seems incredibly chic right now.

6. Bright Red

"I have been making the world a better place one butt at a time, but it is my dream to make the world a better place one woman at a time." – Sara Blakely

Ever since Sara Blakely invented a new shapewear designed to conceal flabs, bulges, visible panty lines (VPL) and have more tummy control and named it Spanx, it has become a household name and a staple in every woman’s wardrobe, even Hollywood celebrities. Oprah Winfrey is a known user and she has been seen and heard openly endorsing it in her show. In fact, spanx uk has expanded its line from girdles to shapesuits, power panties, bra camisoles and even maternity tights!

Spanx is a special form of shapewear that not only sculpts your body to create a smooth and slim silhouette underneath what you wear, it also lifts and tucks any problem areas you might have.Talk about a Hollywood special effect!

And unlike traditional shapewear, Spanx Power Panties have no legband – this unique technology keeps the legs from riding up or causing a bulge on the thighs.

SpanxHere are some of the lines you might want to invest in:

Power Panties:Say goodbye to VPLs (visible panty lines!) No seams equals no digging in, plus the lack of leg band ensures there won’t be any unsightly bulges above your knees!

Higher Power Line: Its waistline ends slightly below a woman’s bust line, allowing more tummy control, with tights ending just mid-thigh.
