It seems nobody is safe these days. Not even the rich, who can afford top of the line home security monitoring, are spared. Take care of the break-in at Lindsay Lohan’s Hollywood home one weekend last August. It was very controversial as sources say the robbers were Lilo’s friends, some even thought she orchestrated the whole deal. The bottomline was there was a robbery, it was a break-in, and families from all walks of life need more protection for their homes. It houses everything valuable to them, including lives of family members.
It is extremely recommended that families get the ADT Los Angeles security system. They are touted as America’s number one security systems provider and their premium package costs less than others.
It is very important that houses stay secured and if in case of a break-in, authorities are alerted almost immediately. With the ADT home security system, you are ensured of 24 hour continuous monitoring from four command centers all located within the US. Once a signal has been received in the monitoring center, they will immediately call the landline of the house (homeowner) to verify the problem. If no one will be answering or whoever answers it would not be able to provide the PIN code, they can notify the local authorities.
Invest in security.
It there would be the 2008/2009 gadget of the year, it would go to the invention of the Apple company = the iPhone. Don’t let its name fool you because it is definitely more than a “phone”. It is GSM cell phone that’s also an iPod, a video camera, and a mobile Internet device with email and GPS maps. Add to that the ability of being able to install many applications (apps as they are called usually) like eBooks, games and stuff for your hobbies/work – scrapbooking, medical field applications, etc – and the iPhone becomes the single most needed gadget of busy people today – and of course, women like us need it (we are the exemplary busy ones!)
I asked some questions from a friend to get me acquainted with it to find out if I really need it – would I want it and if it is worth the price. Based from what she explained, the iPhone is basically an iTouch + a cellular phone in one. Would the price of an iPhone be worth it to upgrade? I would say yes, if you want to be online most of the time and access your mobile phone at the same time. Of course, you would need to invest on iphone accessories too. On top of the list is the InvisibleSHIELD full body protector – the last thing you would want happening is to have your iPhone scratched right? You would need an iphone case too – a leather case would be stylish.
One thing you would always ultimately need is an iphone car charger or the i-Power iPhone Mains Charger. It seems the iPhone is prone to draining its battery quickly so you need to charge all the time. With the i-Power iPhone Mains charger you do not need to have the dock to be able to charge it.

Review here.
I am resolved to have this as my point and shoot camera before Christmas. God-willing (as long as I don’t shop), I’d have this! I’d want one in black. It’s currently around 350USD if I buy it in the US – let’s see if I can have an aunt buy one for me
I heard a lot of nice reviews about the Panasonic LX3 too. Let’s see who will win once I have the money!
If there is one thing totally not cool, it would be shoplifting. Remember the controversy that Winona Ryder got into when she was caught shoplifting in a store? It never really died down and has for sure affected her career. It really isn’t a matter of how much she stole, it would have been a $1 item and all, but it would still mean one thing – she was stealing.
These days even the usual boutique stores have hidden cameras. A Hidden Camera, specifically a CCTV one, is an investment for security purposes. It always is better to accuse someone when you have evidence on print, and in this case, film.
I remember the movies Charlie’s Angels and Enemy of the State. Who would imagine that cameras can be kept in the most ordinary items? Things like clocks, pens, lighters, wrist watches and even compact mirrors in cosmetic pouches can have hidden cameras installed! And it has excellent audio capture too.
And get this – can you imagine a tissue box holder having a hidden camera?
Yes, it is possible! Better make sure there are no tissue box holders in sight the next time you watch something on TV or in your hotel room.
Barney may have been purple, but this takes on a different direction!
Who says she-geeks have to be out of fashion? Here, the most trendy gadgets take the vibrant hue of purple! Dont they just scream GIRLIE to you?

Burglary is a common problem among neighborhoods with no security guards. While no one can be safe all the time even if you lock your house, precaution is always better than nothing. These days, it seems going keyless (without keys) are gaining more approval among society. For one thing, keyless lock can only be opened by your fingerprint. It can never be replicated or duplicated like keys.
There are downsides to this, of course, because we don’t know if a keyless lock is indeed foolproof and cannot be hacked. However, a keyless lock will be the ultimate solution for top-secret laboratories and offices – think James Bond movies!
When one relocates to another house in an entirely different area, it is sure to be stressful and nerve-wracking. However, if one asks a modern-day household which one needs to be there once they arrive, I can bet they will answer this – a phone line, cable TV and internet connection. Everybody needs to stay connected.
When you move, you might want to consider subscribing to Direct TV instead of cable. For one thing, your man (if ever you have one) will forever love and serve you because Directv has sports channels. And consider this – no trying to catch your favorite show, because they give DVRs as part of their packages!
Find Direct TV in CA – MyTVOptions is one of the largest resources of cable and satellite television options in California.
I don’t think people these days can go on for so long without cable TV. It seems more and more families are glued to the tube and have the TV on top of their entertainment list.
Direct TV System is an alternative to cable. For one, the Directv Service has more channels than cable with 130 channels, plus local channels.
Perhaps the very best thing about Direct TV is their exclusive rights to the NFL Sunday Ticket, NASCAR Hotpass and NCAA Mega March Madness. If you have an avid sports fan at home, I am sure you will be switching to DirectTV in no time.
Here is their best offer:
And perhaps the ONE thing that would sign me up – some of their packages have FREE DVR on it!
Before you can classify me a Fashionista, Shoe Lover or a Bagaholic – I consider myself more than anything a She-Geek. I would rather buy the latest gadget or camera lens out there than buy a designer bag. I love looking at designer bags and would love to own one someday, but it simply isn’t something that I would buy when I have the money (which is rarely).
What I am eyeing is a spanking new and very fast computer by the end of the year. I can consider that as my gift to myself. But I’m also torn in getting a Lumix LX3 panasonic camera. I still have a DELL laptop though which needs its computer protection and virus protection updated. I recently switched to Symantec anti virus because it also has anti-spyware. What is better is that it is a corporate account no need for renewal fees!
I actually have this on my things-to-get-before-2009-ends. Consider this as my treat to myself for working so hard.
I’d want one in black but now that I think about red would just be so me
